Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy

A unique and highly effective approach to anxiety, phobias, addictions and more

Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy is a combination of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and evidenced based Clinical Hypnotherapy. This is a unique approach to therapy and has a powerful and lasting impact on clients. I further integrate self hypnosis and Mindfulness techniques into my practice making the sessions particularly calming and effective.

Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy is a highly effective way to make positive and lasting changes in your life. The methods I use are evidence-based and are particularly effective in treating problems relating to stress and anxiety.

Our thoughts have a powerful affect on our body on a daily basis. Think about the time your heart skips a beat when you see someone stand at the edge of a cliff or a flight of stairs or when someone cuts across a queue or when someone passes an unfair comment. We can use this mind-body connection to our advantage and through the power of suggestion, achieve incredible and positive results. By relaxing, thinking positively and picturing your goals, hypnosis can help you change how you think, feel and behave.

In the hypnotherapy part of our sessions, I will gently guide you into a state where both, your body and mind are relaxed. To an onlooker, it might seem as if you are asleep but, in fact, you will be fully awake and in control. You will remember everything that happens and cannot be made to do anything you don’t want to do. Clinical hypnotherapy is completely different to anything you have seen on Television.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is a talking therapy that can help you manage your problems by changing the way you think and behave. It is based on the concept that your thoughts, feelings, physical sensations and actions are interconnected, and that changing one can transform the rest.

Unlike many other approaches to therapy and treatment, CBT deals with your current problems, rather than focusing on issues from your past. It gives you practical ways to improve your state of mind on a daily basis.
